In any given space and time, the bond between two lovers should be so strong that one who feels that they can come between them is presented with a dilemma and therefore must comply with the dichotomy.

It also alludes to one coming back from having fought with their lover because of gossip, and surrendering to the reality that is; two people who truly love each other, can fix the smallest things by communicating intelligently and being empathetic towards one anothers experiences.
